Frequently Asked Questions

Here are a few questions and answers which might be helpful.

  1. Do you have a children's church on Sunday morning?

Our goal is to be a church where families worship together on Sunday morning. We believe that values are not taught to children, but rather caught by children as their parents model what is most important every Sunday morning. We encourage our families to sit together during the sermon.

  2. What about if my baby gets fussy?  I don't want this to be a distraction.

A nursery is available for our smallest members during the worship service.

  3. Do you have a Wednesday mid-week service?

Our goal is to build christian "community". We feel that the best way this is done is not by a mini version of Sunday worship, but rather by meeting in small, intimate home study/fellowship gatherings called "Lifegroups".

   4.   How many preachers are there anyway?

There are four elders who do the weekly teaching, but this is complimented periodically by other men within the           congregation who may bring a teaching at the request of the elder body. The Lifegroups are led by lay
ministers who serve in the capacity of facilitators of the weekly group discussions, prayer times, and visitation
          of Lifegroup members and guests.

   5.   What is Cornerstone's denominational affiliation ?

Cornerstone is a non-denominational congregation, with a statement of faith which could be described
as "baptistic". Our services are very informal and very contemporary in nature. We are a "come as
you are" type of church. Everyone feels at home in Cornerstone!
